Wabash Centennial Jubilee

Join us for the 100th anniversary celebration of the Wabash Station!

Event Name: Wabash Centennial Jubilee-- Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Wabash Station.

Date: Friday, July 16, 2010

Time: Formal Ceremony at the Wabash Station at 2 pm;Jubilee from 5 to 9 pm around the Wabash block.

Location: Wabash Station, Artlandish Gallery and the surrounding block of Tenth, Walnut and Orr Streets.

The Jubilee from 5-9pm will include:

· Tours of the Wabash Station

· Tours of the old train storage facility below Artlandish Gallery

· Tours of artist lofts and lots of local art

· Train collectors from across mid-Missouri

· Train Art in the North Village Art Studios featuring Silver Rails Gallery, Nichelle Lawrence and Jim Smith

· Mid-Missouri Rail Fans train display and memorabilia

· Musical entertainment

· Special display of Columbia Fire Department’s historic pump truck which arrived via train in 1940, tours of the Tenth Street Fire Department, and special appearance by Patches and Pumper

· Activities for the kids including making your own train or bus from recycled materials; special appearance by Mr. Bag It

· Train rides for the little ones on the Wieman Express

· Art train for the little ones to play on

· Displays from the Wabash Railroad Historical Society

· Central State Rail Dining Car Train information booth

· Food and MUCH MORE.
