Columbia Academy of Music to Open


The Columbia Academy of Music on Walnut St. is set to open on January 31.  Once the old Lou's Palace, this building has received a major face lift and it taking it's place in the North Village Arts District.

They will be offering instruction from ages 4 to 104. They offer lessons in piano, guitar, bass, percussion, voice, strings, horns and a variety of specialty instruments (Just Ask!) In addition, instruction in audio production and music notation (Sibelius) will also be offered. Instruction will range from rock and jazz to classical, and even some bluegrass and country/blues.


Columbia Academy of Music also features The Bridge, a performance venue located within the Academy. Students are able to learn, practice and eventually perform all in one facility.
