The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces a temporary lane closure on Eighth Street Monday, Feb. 20, and Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting. The southbound lane will be closed during daytime hours on Eighth Street from Broadway to Cherry due to remodeling work at the Tiger Hotel. The northbound traffic lane will remain open. There will be no parking on the west side of Eighth Street in this block; pedestrians will need to use an alternate route.
