South 9th between University and Elm reduced to one lane
Columbia Public Works and Community Development announce that beginning at 8:00 am on December 13, South 9th Street between University and Elm will be reduced to one lane traffic. Both north and south bound traffic will be allowed but will be controlled by flaggers allowing one direction to proceed at a time.
Several parking spaces on the west side of South 9th between University and Elm will not be available.
The lane reduction is due to construction on the multi-use building on south side of South 9th street at Woodson Way.
The project is expected to be complete with both traffic lanes and all parking spaces available by 5:00 PM on December 18, depending on weather conditions.
Motorist, cyclist, and pedestrians are urged to use caution in and around the construction area, find alternate routes if available, and to expect delays.
We appreciate your patience.
