The Downtown Community Improvement District (CID), a
volunteer committee in the city of Columbia, Missouri, is seeking proposals for
professional design services. The goal
of the committee is to create four
gateways into the downtown that serve to define the area, draw people in, and
further The District brand. This plan will incorporate signage, landscaping,
creative elements (such as lighting or artwork), and pedestrian friendly
infrastructure to create iconic gateways that reflect the hip, active and
artistic feel of The District. To achieve this goal, the committee seeks a
consultant to develop a Gateway Plan with budget.
