The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced that beginning Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 pm, APAC Missouri crews will mill the following streets to prepare for asphalt overlay:
Eighth Street between Walnut and Elm
Sixth Street between Broadway and Ash
Elm Street between Hitt and Ninth
This work will result in periodic street closure during the overnight hours. Weather permitting, street surface milling should be complete Friday, May 24 at 7:00 am. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Due to the milling projects scheduled tonight on the downtown streets, the FastCAT 107 will detour on the following routes from 6 to 8:00 PM.
The affected stops include:
*8th and Walnut
*6th and Walnut
*6th and Broadway
*6th and Elm
*Elm and 8th
*University and 9th
*Elm and 9th
The FastCAT 107 will travel west on Walnut and turn south onto 9th Street to Locust Street, then turn east on Locust Street to Hitt Street where it will resume it's normal route.
