Slow Art Day
Come join the University of Missouri Museum of Art and Archaeology Museum Associates at the first annual MAA's Slow Art Day! Slow Art Day is a global celebration inspired by the Slow Food Movement where people are invited to come to a museum, slow down, get "inspired, not tired," and truly savor a few select artworks.
From 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, May 5th, the Museum will be transformed into an open house where you can come, view a few pieces of artwork, take your time, treat yourself to a tasty nibble and a glass of wine, and enjoy good art and good conversation.
They have selected 5 pieces in the MAA for the event:
1. The Temptation of St. Anthony
2. The Red-figured Neck Amphora
3. The Picasso Fish Platter
4. Joy Rushfelt's Forest
5. A Matthew Ziegler painting in "A Midwestern View" exhibition
