Guitarist John Scofield has been a permanent fixture on the jazz scene for nearly four decades. Noted for his eclectic taste and versatility, he’s now influenced the next generation of guitarists. Owning a distinct sound, Scofield is a masterful jazz improviser whose music runs the gamut from post-bop, to funk-edged jazz and R&B, and whose various projects cumulatively reflect all of these styles.
