Pay Your Parking by Phone on Ninth Street!

The city's testing out some new parking meters along Ninth Street and feeding your meter just got a lot more convenient. Not only can you use a credit or debit card, you can pay with your smart phone as well. With the new Parkmobile app, you can pay your meter, get automatic texts to let you know when your meter time is almost up, and it'll even help you find your car.

First, you need to register at www.parkmobile.com.  You'll set up a user name, register your phone and get all your credit card information on file. (You can also call 1-877-727-5975).

Once you find a spot, it's simple. Launch the app, enter the parking zone number on the meter, and enter your space number.

This is currently a pilot project but if it all goes well, expect to see a range of payment options in The District.
