Hearing Voices/Seeing Visions
Join us from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday May 1st, 2012 at Orr Street Studios for Hearing Voices/Seeing Visions.
This week they are presenting the artists Joanne Zucco Berneche and Jerry Berneche. This interesting and varied show includes works in a variety of media including: watercolor, tempera, collage, pen and ink, and oil. Jerry and Joanne will talk about their work that is in the gallery as well as show slides of other pieces.
The reception begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by Seeing Visions at 7:00 p.m.
Joanne Zucco Berneche received her BFA degree at Ohio University and her Master's of Studio Art degree from the Cleveland Art Institute. She taught art at Central Methodist, William Woods University for thirteen years and the Columbia Public Schools until 2011 when she retired after nineteen years. She has exhibited and won awards in national, regional and local exhibitions. She was president of the Columbia Art league for several years.
Jerry Bereneche received a BFA from John Herron Art School which is now a part of Indiana University Indianapolis. and received the MFA degree from Ohio University. His teaching experience includes Ohio University, Cooper Art School of Cleveland Ohio, Montana State University and the last 42 years at the University of Missouri Columbia.He has won prizes in such national shows as, Butler Museum of American Art which has one of is paintings in their collection, Watercolor USA Springfield Art Museum which also purchased one of his works, Chautauqua National Exhibition where he won the top award for realistic art twice and too many other national, regional and local shows to mention.
