The city of Columbia announces that the sidewalk on the north side of Cherry Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street will be closed Wednesday, April 18, weather permitting. This closure is due to the installation of a HVAC unit on top of the CenturyLink building being performed by Hulett Heating and Air Company. Work should be completed by 11 a.m. the same day. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and detour around this block of Cherry Street.
