The city of Columbia announces that the sidewalk closure on the north side of Cherry Street, between Eighth and Ninth Street, had been extended through Friday, April 13, weather permitting. Sodawerx LLC is painting the front of buildings along that block of Cherry Street. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and detour around this block of Cherry Street to avoid delays.
The parking garage on Eighth and Cherry will not be affected.
