Bengals Bar and Grill has requested a street closure for a live music festival on Friday, October 19th from 7 am to 3 am the next morning. The actual event is planned for 5 pm to 1 am with an open container waiver. The proposed closure would include Sixth Street from Locust to Chestnut (the street in front of the McDavid Residence Hall) and Elm Street from Fifth to Seventh. The application is currently pending a signature from the University of Missouri, an affected property owner.
The CID Board will have this on the agenda for their July 10 meeting, although the applicants are requesting that the application be forwarded to Council prior to CID review.
