Tracking App and Website for FASTCAT Buses Ready to Use!

The City of Columbia is pleased to formally introduce the bus tracking app for Columbia Transit FastCAT buses at www.ridefastcat.com.

"Our customers have expressed to us that a tracking application is very important to them. After some unanticipated technical issues during the launch of FastCAT, we're excited that this frequently requested feature is now ready for our customers to use.", stated John Glascock, Director of Public Works.

RideFastCAT.com is more than a tracking application. It provides riders with the ability to view many things:

*Bus Tracker and schedule

*With a "find me" feature to show your location on the tracking map

*Printable maps from a desktop or Bluetooth application

*Locate nearby bus stops on the FastCAT route

*Rider Alerts

*About FastCAT

*Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

*How to contact Columbia Transit

Currently, the app is available in the Google Play Store for Android users and it's FREE.

In the next few days, the app will be submitted to Apple for review for approval to make it available to for the i-Pad and i-Phone family of devices. In the meantime, the mobile version of the RideFastCAT.com site works very well on the iOS browser.

And of course, the RideFastCAT.com site and all of it's features can be accessed by your desktop computer as well.
