The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Monday, July 23, 2012 at 7:00 am, J.C. Industries, Inc. will begin work on the Downtown Streetscape Phase I – Avenue of the Columns project at Broadway and 8th Street and Broadway and 7th Street. This work will result in temporary lane restrictions on Broadway, 8th Street, and 7th Street. The work should be completed, weather permitting by fall 2012.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
